he preheating system consists of a slab gas-fired furnace designated "TS",
complete with an integrated fume extraction system and slab unloading
equipment.
The furnace is designed to uniformly heat slabs prior to hot
rolling operations while maintaining efficient combustion and environmental
control.
The installation occupies approximately 260 m and has an installed electrical
load of 170 kW with a gas input of approximately 9,512 kW.
The furnace processes slabs ranging from 560 mm to 1,052 mm in width and
accommodates material up to 280 mm thick.
